Clinical expertise
Mr Said Abisi is a specialist in complex aortic and endovascular procedures, including interventions on the aortic arch, thoracic aorta and thoracoabdominal aneurysms.
He has expertise in:
- management of aortic arch and thoracic aortic pathologies, including acute and chronic aortic dissection.
- treatment of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAAA)
- repair of abdominal and iliac artery aneurysms
- diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease
He also performs the following procedures:
- endovascular aortic arch repair (EAAR)
- endovascular thoracic aortic repair (TEVAR)
- fenestrated and branched EVAR for thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms
- EVAR for abdominal aortic aneurysms
- angioplasty and stenting of peripheral vascular disease
Biography
Mr Said Abisi, MD MS FRCS, is an internationally recognised key opinion leader in aortic endovascular surgery.
He is a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London.
Mr Abisi continues to shape the future of complex aortic endovascular intervention and he plays a leading role in global innovation, collaborating with partners to advance cutting-edge technologies for thoracoabdominal and aortic arch repair.
Research
Mr Abisi has served as Chief or Principal Investigator for multiple high-impact commercial trials, contributes extensively to international guidelines and training, and is a frequent invited speaker at major global vascular conferences. With more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, an H-index of 20, and a growing research portfolio.
